Today marks the 50th anniversary of the Children's Crusade, the 1963 Birmingham March against racial segregation. Most of us remember this time as being the high point in the career of Martin Luther King because two weeks before this march, he wrote his most famous epistle "A Letter from Birmingham Jail". Tonight, it might be good to reflect on these events and to ponder how far our feet have taken us ... and where our feet are taking us now.
